Headteacher's Welcome

|

A very warm welcome to St Joseph's RC Primary School. We are a very caring Roman Catholic school with exceptionally high academic standards. The school is situated in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley and is the oldest and the smallest Jesuit school in the country. In our latest, outstanding OFSTED report, the inspector noted, 'this is an outstanding school. Although it is very small, it has a big heart. It welcomes pupils from all backgrounds but promotes strong Catholic values. Pupils acquire a love of learning, excellent levels of personal development and outstanding levels of academic achievement.' St Joseph's is proud to be an Eco Green Flag school and a Fairtrade school.

Design Technology Day

|
Posted: 27th Nov 2014

Here are just a few pictures from yesterday's Design Technology Day. Hopefully you will be able to see all our work very soon as we decorate the school for Advent.

This year the focus was on design skills, with children in each "workshop" carefully planning their own designs of stockings, snowmen, stars and tree decorations. The day flew by with everyone engrossed in making their own decoration, carefully following and often adapting their design plans. A highlight of the day was visiting the exhibits in each room and adding evaluation comments to the children's own evaluations.

Remembrance Sunday 2014

Thank you to everyone who brought children to attend the lovely Remembrance Service in Hurst Green yesterday. We were proud to see our school so well represented in this lovely service. Well done to Grace and Zach for presenting the poppy wreath on behalf of our school.

For Clitheroe castle trip pictures, please look on the infant class page.

Welcome to our new reception "chicks"
