Headteacher's Welcome

A very warm welcome to St Joseph's RC Primary School. We are a very caring Roman Catholic school with exceptionally high academic standards. The school is situated in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley and is the oldest and the smallest Jesuit school in the country. In our latest, outstanding OFSTED report, the inspector noted, 'this is an outstanding school. Although it is very small, it has a big heart. It welcomes pupils from all backgrounds but promotes strong Catholic values. Pupils acquire a love of learning, excellent levels of personal development and outstanding levels of academic achievement.' St Joseph's is proud to be an Eco Green Flag school and a Fairtrade school.

THE CHOIR

Well done to St Joseph's Junior Choir, winner of the regional heat of Last Choir Singing. We are now through to the Lancashire finals in June.

World Book Day, 2015

This year for World Book Day, the foundation stage class came dressed in bright colours to take part in a variety of activities planned around the story of Elmer by David McKee. They even learned the French names of the different colours. Foundation children and key stage 1 children enjoyed a book exchange to extend their love of a range of books.
